Grade 7, 8 and 9 students have the opportunity to experience two elective courses, of their choice, per term. They are designed to give students the opportunity to explore a broad range of experiences. Whether it be Home Economics, Media Studies, Drama, or Personal Fitness, they have many to choose from.
Here are some of the elective choices: Drama, Art classes, Musical Theatre, Editorial Cartooning, Movie Making, Info Tech, Social Justice, Home Economics, Knitting & Crocheting, Pottery, Personal Fitness, Mountain Biking, PR Kings Ice Hockey, Curling.
All students by the end of grade 9 need to have taken one Applied Skill (A.S.) and one Fine Art (F.A.)
Please note, in order to enable that all students complete their appropriate Applied Skill and Fine Art credit for graduation requirements, preference will be given first to Grade 9s, then 8s, and finally to Grade 7s.
